The support system I had was pretty amazing. I was going through all of this and she never left my side. We've been together since my 16th birthday, and I'll be 36 this year. I got to the point where I had no fuse left, and there's no life in that whatsoever. Your fuse may be pretty long to start with, but it gets whittled away, and anytime there's a spark lit after that, it's an explosion. “I wouldn't tell anyone how I felt until I couldn't take it anymore. “Some of it seems so small, but when people at record labels say, 'You’re going to need to lose 25 pounds, or I don't think this band can be successful,' those little things stick with you and you always wonder, 'Was that guy right? Was my being overweight the reason we didn't get that record deal?' But again you push it aside, and it festers in the back of your mind with everything else until you break down. ![]() ![]() The fourth and final book of the series was read a bit later due to some personal issues for one of the members, so we finally finished up the series for the August 1st meeting! I didn’t enjoy this one because of the ending and was mostly confused, but oh well. Nothing specific to mention here that I don’t talk about below! Theres some light horror, and some scary, supernatural events and creatures endanger the heroine, Abigail. I binge-listened while packing to come home and driving around town running errands. Parents need to know that Jackaby is a fantasy detective story about solving a serial murder case. There was a snowstorm and Chris and I had to drive back up to Maine before it hit. We moved into the second book pretty quickly because we had to postpoone our March book club. Here are my thoughts on each book in this series. This is the first book in the Divine Dungeon series. I’m less familiar with that genre though, so I can’t speak too much about it.īut enough about the genre/subgenre at this point. The cultivation elements are present, as in the character actively meditate to grow their powers and are actually called “Cultivators”. The light novel versions often use JRPG mechanics and ideas taken from that to build dungeons, but the western versions are usually either that or the Dungeons and Dragons variant. Usually the main character is either the dungeon master, demon king, or (as is this case) the dungeon itself. What this means, essentially, is that it’s about a dungeon being built up over the course of the story. Yes, because everything in the world must be overly complicated, litRPG divides further into dungeon builders as a subgenre. This second one being a “dungeon builder”.
